So, I deconstructed the bass riff I’ve been working on this morning. I gave it an Afrobeat feel. Could use a drum beat similar to Talking Heads “Seen and Not Seen”. Have a chorus in mind that’s kind of Tom Morello-ish/black funk rock. Plus, I have an idea how a singer can work in a vocal line. Now, to impose my vision on other players using sheer force of will. It might become nothing, but it might be something. Let’s see.
Now how do I take this peculiar/ spidery, sort of pop bass riff I just wrote and take it to sleazy places?
